Scottish island escape in Argyll…
What a year 2026 has been at WildLuing! Our luxury self-catering accommodation on the beautiful Isle of Luing, near Oban in Argyll, has enjoyed one of our busiest seasons yet. We have been delighted to welcome so many first-time visitors, returning guests, family gatherings, friendship groups and retreat bookings to our little corner of Scotland. As summer continues, we wanted to share some highlights from the year so far, along with some exciting events still to come.
Content Creator Retreat | April 2026
This April we welcomed a wonderful group of content creators to experience everything that’s new at WildLuing. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the exciting developments we’ve made over the past year and to share the hard work our team has been putting into continually improving the WildLuing experience. Guests enjoyed a wildlife boat trip with Sealife Adventures from nearby Seil, a feast of local produce in The Observatory featuring Luing lamb and freshly landed local langoustines, and were among the very first to experience our brand-new wood-fired sauna, introduced for the 2026 season. We loved seeing WildLuing through fresh eyes and can’t wait to share more of their adventures with you.
Luing Cattle Society Open Day | Friday 21st August 2026
One of the biggest dates in our family calendar is fast approaching, and we’d love you to join us. On Friday 21st August, our family farm will be hosting the Luing Cattle Society Open Day—a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the iconic Luing cattle breed where it all began.
Come and enjoy:
Seeing the Luing cattle in all their pride and glory
Spectacular scenery across the Isle of Luing
Guided tours of our family farm, where the Luing breed was originally developed
Plenty of delicious food and refreshments
The chance to meet Luing cattle breeders from across the UK
A warm welcome from our family and the WildLuing team
Jo, Bob, Chris, Ellie, Archie, Jack, Emily and all the family are looking forward to welcoming you. We can’t promise sunshine—but we can promise beautiful cattle, good company and a very warm Luing and Cadzow welcome. Be sure to follow our social media channels over the coming weeks for updates as we count down to this special day.

A Little Family Update…
Life at WildLuing has been as busy as ever—not just with welcoming guests, but on the family farm too. Amongst everything, we’ve been making time to enjoy another wonderful west coast summer. Jack and Emily have loved spending time with their two daughters. Saskia is now happily running around the gardens, while little Iris, who arrived in January, has been enjoying her very first Scottish summer. Jack’s brother Archie and his family have also been making memories with little Alfred, born in 2025, and the cousins have already been enjoying plenty of adventures together at family gatherings. From boat trips and island adventures to family barbecues overlooking the sea, we’ve been making the most of everything that makes life here so special.
We Hope to See You Soon
Whether you’re joining us for your very first WildLuing adventure or returning for another unforgettable stay, we can’t wait to welcome you. Here’s to many more adventures, moments of relaxation and unforgettable memories on Scotland’s beautiful west coast. See you soon.
