What a year 2025 has been…Christmas reflections at WildLuing.

What a year it has been! A year of continuing to grow on our foundations and trying new things to add to the guest experience and offering. Thank you for the continued support; we really appreciate you being part of the WildLuing journey.

A few 2025 highlights include:

Hosting Scotland’s Farm Advisory Service Argyll Women in Agriculture. It was great to share news and updates from the farm, and our farm manager Jo was an excellent speaker.

Exclusive trips and adventures to Scarba for groups.

Our sauna being completed! This is available for groups and as part of exclusive site hire.

Having some fun visits from Caroline McQuistin, The Freelancer Foodie and The Wee White Dog,

Hosting several yoga retreats and group holidays over the spring and summer seasons.

We celebrated environmental progress on the farm. Along with over 200 trees we planted in 2024 at WildLuing we have also planted 200 acres of broadleaf trees and finished creating wetlands to improve biodiversity and create habitat corridors between farmed land. This includes regenerating native Scot’s Pine and Hazel woodland. We have restoring and developing the Atlantic Rainforest on the west of Luing and on Scarba we have restored Old Caledonian Pine Forest (a globally unique habitat) along with Oak trees.

A visit from the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh on their visit to the Slate Islands as part of their Inner Hebrides tours.

Collaborating with the team from Scottish Coastal Clean Up for our annual beach clean. Thanks Kerrie and the team!

We were finalists in the Out There Magazine Experimentalist Awards – Escapist and Adventure categories.

Being shortlisted as a finalist in the Highland and Islands Thistle Awards in the categories: Innovation Award and the Best Self Catering or Unique Stay.

Winning the Highland and Islands Thistle Awards Innovation Award and attending the ceremony in Inverness!

This year we have been featured in several media articles including:

The Times, The Field Magazine, The Courier, Suitcase Magazine, Stylist Magazine, Homes and Interiors Scotland, Wild About Argyll, Press and Journal, Sainsburys Magazine, The Times Scotland, Fabric Magazine, The Sun, The Mirror, Scotsman, Argyll Advertiser and The Herald.
